As the rumours mount, Chris McLeish responds to the press:
 At this stage I have no comment on the matter.
If and when, the Pursuers board approach me, I will be happy to discuss things. Until then I'm still just a player.
I have supported this club since I was a wee lad, and will support them always in any way I can (apart from washing the strips!).

A new season, a new manager! July 2004
Following Pursuers tradition, the role of manager has changed again after only one year. After failing in his quest to win promotion last season, former manager Mr Stewart handed over the reigns to new manager Femi Komolafe, in a well attended ceremony yesterday evening at the Pursuers brand new ground - Glasgow Green Stadium. Komolafe took the bull by the horns and immediately arranged training sessions and pre-season friendlies. An official statement by Komolafe will appear here soon.
As with many SPL clubs, the Pursuers stuck solidly to their budget last year and spent carefully. As a result the careful money management by Eddie Stewart sets the club up well for the new season, with new strips, and new balls.
